Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for TEP’s open positions and encourage candidates to submit their application as soon as possible.  There is no official deadline for applying to TEP. 

We aim to respond to applicants as soon as possible. Depending on the time of the school year and the position to which one has applied, the response time may range from 1 day to several weeks.

Teachers do not need to possess a New York State Teacher Certification to be hired at TEP Charter School. However, in order to ensure compliance with the teacher certification requirements of the New York State Charter Law, all TEP teachers are required to adhere to one of the following options:

1. Possess a valid, unexpired, New York State Teacher Certificate in ANY subject(s) for ANY grade-level(s) from Pre-K to 12. (Note that the subject and grade-level of the certificate do NOT need to match the subject and grade level that you are actually teaching at TEP; this flexibility is granted to NY State Charter Schools.

OR

1. Possess a TEP-approved plan to obtain a valid New York State Teacher Certificate. This comprehensive plan must be designed by the teacher and approved and signed by TEP’s Principal.

TEP does not have fully remote positions available at this time. All applicants must be available to work on-site.
